By accessing or using Soundsteps ("Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Soundsteps provides tools for music practice planning, tracking, and learning support.
The Service is not intended for children under 13. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.
You must provide accurate and complete information.
You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping credentials secure.
You must verify your email within 12 hours of registration to continue using the Service.
Soundsteps offers paid subscriptions only (Regular, Pro, and Pro Plus). We may change plan features over time as described in Section 11.
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance per billing period and renew automatically unless you cancel.
You can cancel in your account settings at any time. Access continues until the end of the current paid period.
Full refunds may be requested within 14 days of payment.
Soundsteps offers a 7-day trial on paid plans. Your payment method will be charged after the trial ends unless you cancel.
Premium features are available through paid subscriptions (Regular, Pro, and Pro Plus). Subscription fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except as required by law.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
Full refunds may be requested within 14 days of payment. This refund policy applies in addition to any statutory consumer rights.
If you are a consumer in the EEA (including Norway), mandatory consumer protection laws apply. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights, including rights under the Norwegian Digital Content and Services Act (digitalytelsesloven).
Soundsteps processes personal data to provide and operate the Service. More information about how we process personal data is available in our Privacy Policy.
You retain rights to content you create or upload, such as practice notes and recordings.
You grant Soundsteps a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process, and display your content to provide the Service to you.
You must not upload content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or infringes rights of others.
You remain responsible for keeping your own backups of content you consider important.
You must not:
We may limit or suspend access to protect users, the Service, or legal compliance.
The Service may provide AI-based feedback and recommendations based on your inputs. AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete. You remain responsible for how you use AI output. AI output is not a substitute for professional instruction.
The Service and its content, excluding User Content, is owned by Soundsteps and protected by intellectual property laws.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any copyrighted works you practise or perform.
We may change the Service to improve functionality, security, or compliance.
We may change prices or plan features. We will give notice in advance. If a change negatively affects you, you can cancel before it takes effect and keep access until the end of the current paid period.
We may update these Terms. We will notify you of material changes via email or in the Service. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance, subject to mandatory consumer law.
The Service may be unavailable at times due to maintenance, updates, or incidents. We aim to restore normal operation within a reasonable time.
We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect security and integrity. Where reasonable, we provide notice and an opportunity to remedy. After termination, we will provide a reasonable opportunity to export your data where technically feasible, unless retention is required by law or security needs.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Soundsteps is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, or loss of data. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and nothing limits statutory consumer rights.
These Terms are governed by Norwegian law. Courts of Norway have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer rules on venue.
